  • Miley Cyrus Gave Someone a Tattoo

    Richard Lawson

Miley CyrusMiley CyrusWe all know that Miley Cyrus likes a dang tattoo. She's into the art, into the meaning behind them, into the lifestyle they suggest. She is not alone in that sentiment, in these inked-up days of ours. But now Cyrus has crossed some sort of divide, becoming the tattooer instead of the tattooee. (Tattoee is the planet Luke Skywalker is from, right?)

As this is just how young people relate information now, Cyrus has posted an Instagram photo that shows her about to ink her friend's leg. Unless this is posed, it would appear that someone has allowed Miley Cyrus to give them a tattoo. Is that something you or I would do? Probably not. But we don't know Miley Cyrus the way this person does.

The person in question is one Cheyne Thomas, a constant but curious presence in Cyrus's life. The legend goes that Thomas was working in a Starbucks before Cyrus plucked him from obscurity and made him her personal

  • Prince George is Single-Handedly Reviving Endangered Species

    Josh Duboff

The Royal FamilyThe Royal FamilyWe know George can sell out clothes; babies have devoted their entire, nascent lives to imitating him; Justin Timberlake has shouted him out (George was no doubt too busy to return Justin's texts). So it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that the young royal, who just turned one, now seems to be saving entire animal populations.

O.K., "saving entire animal populations" might be a little strong, but George is giving at least one a major assist. The bilby, a "rabbit-like Australian marsupial species," received one of the largest P.R. boosts an animal species has likely ever received (second perhaps to Britney Spears's 2001 V.M.A.'s performance) when the prince visited the Tarongo Zoo in Sydney in April and met his namesake, George the bilby, in one of the Australia-New Zealand trip's most reproduced images. George gave the animal a smile that seemed to say, "Hey, kid, I know the weight of the world can be Read More »from Prince George is Single-Handedly Reviving Endangered Species
  • Prince Harry’s 30th-Birthday Plans

Prince Harry Prince Harry Now that the celebrations for Prince George's first birthday are over, there's another occasion in the royal calendar to start thinking about-Prince Harry's 30th.

Harry reaches the big 3-0 on Monday, September 15, but don't expect any Vegas-style partying.

I'm told the William and Kate are in charge of the celebrations, which will be a suitably grown-up affair, complete with a dinner party at the palace. Harry's best friend, nightclub owner Guy Pelly, has offered to throw a party for Harry on his actual birthday, at Sloane Square hot spot Tonteria (where the big night is Monday), but the birthday boy is under strict instructions to leave at 10:30 P.M.

"Harry would like to go, but he knows he can't have a crazy night out and misbehave. For him, September is all about the Invictus Games and he doesn't want anything overshadowing that," our source tells us.

  • The Queen Elegantly Photobombed a Selfie

    Josh Duboff

The Queen photobombs a selfie The Queen photobombs a selfie There is a long (by "long," we mean "few-months-long") tradition of royals crashing selfies. Kate Middleton did it. Prince William's done it solo, as well as with Prince Harry. Charles has probably done it, but whoever's selfie he crashed was probably like, "Eh, this is fine, but no need to tweet it or anything . . ." (George has yet to crash his first selfie; we hear he'll do it for no less than $500,000-which seems, if anything, too low.)

And now the Queen has joined the club.

Jayde Taylor-a member of the Australia Commonwealth Games hockey team (if you've never heard of the Commonwealth Games, check out this amusing and informative Last Week Tonight with John Oliver segment)-was taking an innocuous selfie with one of her teammates, when who should creep up behind them but the Queen of England. And she's smiling! (Apparently she has gotten over any anguish related to her morphine-positive race-horse.)

Kim Kardashian and North WestKim Kardashian and North WestIt is now clear that when Neil Armstrong said, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," it had nothing to do with the moon or anything, as we all assumed; he had instead, due to some freak atmospheric break, seen a vision up in space of a Kim Kardashian Instagram that would be posted some 55 years in the future.

Yes, our future president-one-year-old North West-took her first steps yesterday, which explains why the trees appear greener today, why the birds are chirping merrier melodies than anyone has heard before, why your bus arrived two minutes early today-the environment is responding correspondingly to this seismic development.

The moment was captured via Instagram, but of course, as Kim posted a picture, taken by Kanye West, of Kim cradling a yellow towel-sheathed North. She captioned the shot, which already has over 1.1 million likes, "Our baby girl finished one week of swimming

  • Lana Del Rey Has Slept with “A Lot of Guys” in the Music Industry

    Richard Lawson

Lana Del ReyLana Del ReyLana del Rey. A mysterious creature if ever there was one. Oh, sure, there's talk of Fordham and someone named "Lizzie Grant," but do you really believe all those old wives' tales? Isn't it far more likely that she simply arrived one day, borne out of the murmuring sea on a clam shell or something? However she got here, we know she didn't sleep her way to the top. Though she did sleep with a lot of people in the music industry.

Before you get upset, that is not us salaciously inferring anything. She straight-up says it in a new interview with Complex magazine about her new album. Specifically, when talking about her song "F--ked My Way to the Top," del Rey says, "You know, I have slept with a lot of guys in the industry, but none of them helped me get my record deals. Which is annoying." Aha! So you see? She freely admits that she has made the rounds in music town, but that that is not how she got famous. • Prince George’s Birthday Presents: Onesies, Uggs, and Pinot Noir

    Katie Nicholl

When in doubt, personalize. When in doubt, personalize. Prince George celebrated his first birthday in style yesterday with a tea party at Kensington Palace. Of course, the problem everyone had was what to buy the boy who has everything?

Royal Watch hears that Her Majesty the Queen has chosen a priceless gift for Prince George, from the Royal Collection, while first-edition Beatrix Potter books are also on the birthday boy's thank-you list. Wooden toys, including a train set spelling out George's name, are said to be proudly on display in the nursery. Over the course of the day, George has received countless gifts from stores and companies around the country. My 1st Years, an online store that specializes in personalized goods, sent George a hamper containing miniature Ugg boots with his name on them, a personalized pair of sneakers, and a smart blue-and-white striped shirt.

Prince George Prince George As you are no doubt aware if you are on the Internet right now, today is Prince George's birthday. If it was a just world, we'd all have the day off from work, free to fling baby food in the streets in trademark George fashion, to chop our striped overalls at the knees to replicate a classic George look, to tenderly grasp a handful of the nearest human hair to honor one of George's favorite pastimes. Alas, it is only an international holiday in our hearts and minds, and reading about his birthday party online will have to suffice.

George's birthday party was the Place To Be on Tuesday afternoon, as pretty much all of the prominent British royals (with the exception of a few-we'll get there in a moment) descended upon Kensington Palace to celebrate the young prince turning one. Queen Elizabeth was one of the first to arrive for the 4 p.m. shindig. Others in attendance, per People's report: George's parents, Kate

  • Justin Bieber's Neighbors Could Consider Making a Citizen’s Arrest

    Richard Lawson

Justin BieberJustin BieberWhile we sit comfortably, clicking Internet links and fiddling around on the Chipotle Web site until lunch, a war rages. A people's home is destroyed, a reckless power runs rampant, a revolution begins. I am talking, of course, about the situation at Justin Bieber's apartment building in Beverly Hills.

SEE MORE: The Most Adorable Pictures of Prince George

You may remember that Bieber started renting a luxury place in an apartment building after things in Calabasas, with egg-throwing accusations and everything, got too hot. You may also remember that pretty much the minute Bieber moved into the joint, his neighbors began freaking out and calling the police whenever there was noise. And, to be fair to them, it seems there has been a lot of noise. Just this past weekend, in fact, the neighbors called the police five times because Bieber was partying. That's a lot of times.

And it wasn't just the noise that bothered them. According to TMZ, there were 75 people

The Duchess and Duke of Cambridge at Kensington Palace with the eight-month-old Prince George and their cocker spaniel, Lupo. The Duchess and Duke of Cambridge at Kensington Palace with the eight-month-old Prince George and their cocker spaniel, Lupo.Celebrating his first birthday, this month, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge is noisy, ravenous, and destructive. He's also a media star, a style icon, and a P.R. triumph. Reporting on how their son has upended William's and Kate's lives, Katie Nicholl chronicles Christmas at Sandringham, the arrival of a new nanny, and the family's New Zealand and Australian adventures.

When His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge turns one year old, this month, there will be no official marking of the milestone. There is talk of a low-key family gathering, possibly a small birthday tea at home in Kensington Palace. The future monarch will be the center of attention, surrounded by his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and most likely his maternal grandparents, who have played a crucial role in his life so far. Certainly George's first-birthday celebration will be a far cry from the hullabaloo that surrounded his arrival at 4:24 P.M. on
