  • For 14 years, Tamara Tunie has played medical examiner Melinda Warner on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Given her upbringing, it's not so surprising that she landed the role of a person who works with dead bodies.

    "I grew up in a funeral home," Tamara says. Her dad was a mortician, and her mom followed suit and went to mortuary school later on to help with the family business.
